Grand Circle National Parks

This is our vacation target.

We left home at 12:00pm to go to the San Jose airport. We arrived there at 1:00 after park our brand new car at long term parking. We ate a little sandwich before we got on the plane. We were on by 1:45. AA2805 left the airport at 2:00.

We saw Sierra Nevada, Mt. Whitney, and Death Valley from our plane. We landed in Las Vegas airport at 3:10 which was 20 min. early. There we met Shinji. We stayed away from the Airport Casino's by ten feet by law.

We checked out our Suburban at Payless Rent a Car $450 (1500 miles)+$0.20/mile. We stopped at Wal-Mart to buy some drinks. Then we drove and saw the Hoover Dam.

We didn't stop until 7:10 at Kingman, AZ. We ate dinner until 8:20. Hiroaki drove on I-40 for 75 mph average. Then we got to Flagstaff where our hotel was. It was 10:30 but still 30 min. earlier than our schedule.

We had a navigation instruction from Residence Inn web page but we got a little lost so we asked some people at gas stations. We took I-40 again to the next exit but still lost. Instruction said to go East but actually had to go South. We phoned to hotel and we found our way then at 11:30, we got a room we thought. Actually our room was too small for all of us 8 people. Residence Inn arranged 2 rooms for us $77.50 x 2. We all finally went to sleep at around 12:30am.

4/22 (Sat): Fly to Las Vegas, drive to Flagstaff, AZ
4/23 (Sun): Drive to Monument Valley
4/24 (Mon): Visit Monument Valley, drive to Moab, UT
4/25 (Tue): Hike Arches all day
4/26 (Wed): Canyonland, drive to Bryce, UT
4/27 (Thu): Hike Bryce Canyon and drive to Zion, UT
4/28 (Fri): Hike Zion and drive to Las Vegas, NE
4/29 (Sat): Fly to SJ, CA
